What is an NVQ?

A National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) is a work-based qualification that assesses an individual's ability to perform their job to industry standards. Rather than learning in a classroom, candidates demonstrate the skills, knowledge and competence they already use in the workplace through on-site assessment and evidence gathering. Construction NVQs provide nationally recognised proof of competence, helping individuals progress their careers while enabling employers to maintain a skilled, qualified and compliant workforce.

Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Heritage Skills (Construction) - Brick Worker
The Level 3 Diploma in Heritage Skills (Construction) - Brickwork is a competence-based qualification for experienced bricklayers working on historic, traditional, and heritage buildings. Assessed entirely in the workplace, the qualification enables learners to demonstrate their practical skills, knowledge, and understanding of conservation principles, traditional materials, and heritage brickwork techniques.
